Collaborative multidisciplinary training for marine sustainability
The sustainable management and long-term preservation of our marine ecosystems require multidisciplinary collaboration. The Synergy Summer School, held from 24 to 28 June 2024 in Ischia (Italy), ensures this integrative approach is incorporated within the advanced training of the next cohort of scientists.
Multidisciplinary collaboration to explore a keystone ocean microalga
The TREC expedition enabled a unique set of samples to be collected of the poorly understood marine microalga Phaeocystis. Researchers are now working within BIOcean5D to reveal more about its life cycle through multidisciplinary collaboration and the combination of multiple complementary approaches.
Unravelling biodiversity change with long-term time series
Our BIOcean5D workshop brought scientists together to share knowledge and collectively identify strategies and methodologies for comparing marine biodiversity data. The results of the work will contribute to a better understanding of biodiversity change.
